Investiture Ceremony 2019

The Investiture ceremony for the induction of the newly elected student Council of Delhi Public School, R.N.Extension for the academic session 2019-20 was conducted with great pomp and dignity on 20 August, 2019. This year, the student leaders were chosen in a democratic manner. The prospective candidates who had applied for posts went through interviews. They were
shortlisted on various counts of merits which included exemplary behaviour, commendable performance in both academic and co-curricular activities. Later the shortlisted candidates gave campaigning speeches asking their schoolmates to elect them for the posts they had applied for. The election day saw a rise in excitement in the students when they, for the first time in their lives, exercised their electoral rights. The teachers too cast their votes to select the students best suited for various posts. The Pro Vice-Chairperson, Mrs Santosh Bansal presided over the investiture ceremony. Principal of the School Mrs Pallavi Upadhyaya administered the oath to the new Council members. The Head Boy Aman Choudhary and the Head Girl Vrinda Sharma , in their speeches, promised to take the school to newer heights. The Pro Vice Chairperson Mrs Santosh Bansal congratulated the newly sworn in members of the student council and advised them to work for the school with full dedication and commitment.  The cultural programme included a beautifully choreographed dance and the school choir group sang the song “I have a dream” which kept the audience enthralled. The day ended with the singing of the National Anthem.
