“You may have tangible wealth untold; caskets of jewels and coffers of gold. Richer than I you can never be. I had a mother who read to me.” To inculcate reading habit in children, a book exhibition was organized at DPS R.N.Extension by Scholastic India to coincide with the PTM held on February 2, 2019. The wide range of books included activity based books, grammar and comprehension, story books, encyclopedias and self help books. Many parents and students were seen busily browsing and purchasing books. All those who purchased books that day were given an opportunity to participate in the lucky draw. Jiya Gupta of class V won a book as a prize in the draw. It became even more meaningful when the prize book was symbolically handed over to her at a special assembly for Basant Panchami – a day dedicated to the Goddess of Knowledge, Ma Saraswati.
The parent mobile app is a communication platform connecting the school and parents using a technological thread. The app grants an up-to-date view of the child's school life to the parents and keeps them in the loop.
