The students of nursery-prep of DPS R.N.Extension were taken to Dolls Museum and Bal Bhavan on 30 th January, 2019. At Shankar’s Dolls Museum,
they were able to see a display of dolls from various countries, collected painstakingly by the noted political cartoonist late K.Shankar Pillai. The dolls
museum includes various dolls contributed by Pt Jawaharlal Nehru, Indira Gandhi, Rajiv Gandhi and various visiting dignitaries from other countries like Queen Frederika of Greece, Madame Tito, Sister of Shah of Iran to name a few. The students were awestruck by the display and also saw the depiction of Ramayana in series of tableaux. The students were later taken to Bal Bhavan and viewed various creative exhibits there. The students enjoyed a live session with the Delhi Police personnel who explained to them the importance of traffic rules. The icing on the cake was the toy train ride which attracts both young and the old alike. The train took them round Bal Bhavan and they got an overall view of the place. It was indeed a fun filled and informative experience for the little ones.
