Students of DPS RN Extension had taken part in the regional round of Behes- a debating competition
at Sarvottam International School, Greater Noida on 16 th and 17 th November and emerged as winners
defeating a veteran team. Three teams including the winning team from the school had qualified for
the national event ‘Mahabehes-2018’ which was the culmination of all the regional rounds, held at
The Presidium, Gurugram on 15 th & 16 th December, 2018. The event saw a huge participation of 800
champions from schools across the country comprising categories- Cubs and Lions. The students of
DPS Rn Extension, though new to the debating arena, gave tough fight to their competitors. Out of
our three teams that had taken part, two teams reached the quarter finals. One from the Cubs
category and one from the Lions category. The exposure the students get from competitions such as
this cannot be measured. The two-day event was really a great learning and enriching experience for
the children as they were able to interact with scholars from various regions of the country.
