'Spell Bee' activity for grades I and II was conducted on 6th March, 2020. This activity helped kids improve their spellings, increase their vocabulary, learn concepts, and develop the use of correct English. There were 5 rounds. The first round was an oral round where they were asked to spell out words correctly. The second round was a visual one where they were asked to identify pictures along with words. The scrabble round made the students sharpen their skills in assembling the given letters into meaningful words. In the fourth round the students were asked to fill in the missing letters. The fifth round saw the students guessing the words related to their surroundings. This was a group activity. The kids were divided into five teams and they showed great team-spirit and determination when attempting every question. This activity ensured full participation of all the children. They enjoyed the challenging questions and played enthusiastically and also realized the importance of reading.
